German Chancellor Fellow • Chevening Scholar • Oxford MSc • MPP@LSE
Arjun Joshi is a founder building AI infrastructure for governments to integrate refugees and underserved communities more efficiently. He is the Co-Founder & CEO of MayaCode, a multilingual AI platform that helps public institutions register, profile, and support refugees at scale. MayaCode was co-developed with Social Science Works in Germany and is now expanding across Europe and India.
Arjun is currently pursuing a master's at the University of Oxford, and previously studied Public Policy at the London School of Economics as a Chevening Scholar. As a German Chancellor Fellow, he designed and led citizen engagement programs across refugee camps and small towns in Eastern Germany, working closely with political theorist Dr. Hans Blokland.
Before Europe, Arjun worked in the Delhi Government, leading public policy initiatives on education, women's safety, and welfare delivery for over 30 million citizens. His work sits at the intersection of AI, civic infrastructure, and governance, with a focus on building tools for inclusion at scale.

Learn MoreThese weren't edge cases—this is the system
We're building MayaCode because we've seen how bureaucracy breaks the people it's meant to serve. In Germany, we worked in refugee camps where people waited months just to be registered — often with no language support, no dignity, and no way to move forward. These weren't edge cases — this was the system.
As public policy practitioners turned AI builders, we realized no government tool was solving this problem well. So we built one. MayaCode is the multilingual infrastructure public systems are missing — starting with refugees, and expanding to everyone excluded by language and process.
Building partnerships in refugee tech, civic systems, and ethical AI. Open to pilot collaborations and B2G/B2B conversations.
